David Ginola predicted on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Friday morning (February 19) that Tottenham Hotspur will compete with Arsenal for the Premier League title for the next few years.
“It’s very interesting to see Spurs and Arsenal competing and fighting for the title this season, and I think it should be the case for the next few years also because I can see something different at Spurs right now,” said the former Tottenham star.
Tottenham are in the running for the Premier League title this season along with Leicester City, Arsenal and Manchester City.
In years gone by, Spurs’ main objective was to finish in the top four, but things are changing for the North London outfit.
White Hart Lane faithful are witnessing something special, as Mauricio Pochettino’s side continue to prove their doubters wrong and go from strength to strength.
It is quite a bold claim from Ginola that Spurs will compete with Arsenal for the Premier League title for the next few years, though. After all, in previous years, teams have found it tough to maintain their place in the top four.
However, this could be a very important season for Tottenham and could propel them to bigger things in the future.
