Report: Norwich City planning tactical change after meeting with players

Norwich City

Norwich City are set to change their system with manager Alex Neil allegedly promising not to play with two defensive midfielders.

According to the Daily Mirror, Norwich City manager Alex Neil held emergency talks with his players earlier this week.

The Canaries’ form has taken a turn for the worse, and they have failed to win any of their last seven matches in all competitions.

Norwich have slipped down to 17th place in the Premier League table, and Neil reportedly decided that the whole squad needed to address their problems.

The East Anglian side are said to have held discussions for three hours, as both Neil and the players got their opinion across on where things have gone wrong.

The squad then broke off into small groups to address any concerns that they had with each other.

At the end of the meeting, it was reportedly decided that Neil will now change his system and he has promised to not play with two defensive midfielders in future weeks.

Norwich’s next match comes against top of the table Leicester City in two weekends’ time.
