Former Everton striker Denis Stracqualursi clinches move to Emelec.

Everton fans remember Denis Stracqualursi?

The striker was the sum of the club's transfer window efforts in summer 2011, with David Moyes signing the striker on loan from Argentine club Tigre.

Stracqualursi was an unknown to most Everton fans ahead of the move, and despite a brief flash of promise at the turn of the year, he struggled to hold down a starting spot.

His loan move ended and he returned to Argentina, and has been at various clubs in South America since before moving to eh Middle East.

He clinched a move yesterday to Ecuadorian club Emelec, Tuttomercatoweb reported, leaving Dubai based club Baniyas.

It is Stracqualursi's second spell with Emelec, having netted 15 times in 29 games for the club before moving to the Middle East.

He scored a total of three goals for Everton during the 2011/12 season, with just one of those coming in the Premier League.
