A spokesman for Swansea City has told the South Wales Evening Post that there are no plans for winger Jefferson Montero to leave the club in the near future.
On Wednesday, a report emerged that the Ecuadorian international had attracted the interest of Championship club Middlesbrough, who are looking to find a solution to their lack of goals in recent weeks.
Other sides in the second tier of English football were also said to be keeping an eye on any potential developments, but the Welsh club have moved swiftly to end speculation regarding his availability.
"There are no plans for Jefferson Montero to go anywhere on loan," a spokesman said. "As things stand, he will stay at Swansea for the rest of the season."
On the opening day of the season, Montero was responsible for exposing Branislav Ivanovic's lack of pace in the 2-2 draw with Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, but after impressing in the first three Premier League fixtures a minor injury derailed his progress and he missed the 2-1 victory against Manchester United at the end of August.
He continued to feature on a regular basis during the first half of the campaign, but he is yet to play for the first-team since the arrival of Francesco Guidolin and his future looks unclear.
