The Sentinel are reporting that Stoke City have decided to plan a testimonial match for defender Andy Wilkinson.
Wilkinson began his career with the Potters in 2001 but the 31-year-old has been sidelined for over a year after suffering a head injury against Blackburn Rovers.
The full-back is still bidding to make a return to the first-team fold at the Britannia Stadium, but as he continues to deal with the effects of the incident, the Potters are looking to get him back on the pitch at some point during the summer.
A date is yet to be agreed but the Staffordshire outfit hope to stage the game before players depart on holiday or upon their return ahead of the 2016-17 campaign.
Wilkinson has spent time on loan at five clubs during his playing career - most recently at Millwall during the early stages of last season - but he has been contracted with Stoke since he joined the side as a trainee.
He has made 192 appearances in all competitions.
