Former Premier League and England star Danny Mills has declared Tottenham his favourites to win the title.
Spurs and Arsenal are both two points behind leaders Leicester City, with Tottenham having a superior goal difference over their North London rivals, who they face in early March.
Mills, also a regular radio pundit for the BBC, said: "I’m sticking my neck on the line and tipping Tottenham to win the Premier League. There’s always something with Arsenal that makes you have doubts.
"The great thing about Spurs is that they have the talent of the top teams mixed with Leicester’s refreshing naivety. Sometimes the pressure comes from having failed before (look at the England team for countless examples). Tottenham have never failed before in the modern era, they’ve never been close enough. Arsenal have and sometimes that can be your undoing."
Arsenal do have two FA Cup trophies in recent seasons, but have not won the league for over 10 years, while Tottenham's wait without a title spans several decades.
Mauricio Pochettino's side have been one of the surprise packages of the season, only losing three Premier League games.
Mills' comments have a double edged sword, with the implied warning that if Spurs miss out this season, the failure could haunt them in years to come, increasing the need for the in form team to take advantage of their strong position and confident team spirit they are currently exhibiting.
