Stan Collymore has continued his public argument with Aston Villa defender Joleon Lescott on Twitter this afternoon.
Lescott sparked fury with Villa fans after posting a picture of a flash car on social media, just moments after the side lost 6-0 to Liverpool.
The experienced centre-back claimed afterwards that the post was an accident, as the tweet sent while his phone was in his pocket.
However, Collymore did not buy Lescott’s excuse and took the former England international to task on Twitter.
Lescott then responded to Collymore’s claims by making disparaging remarks about the pundit on his yesterday evening on Instagram. The former Manchester City man allegedly called the former Villans striker a 'complete tool', according to the Mirror.
Collymore has now hit back again, and suggested that the ‘wheels have completed fallen off’ for Villa.
So Joleon (according to media reports) was on Instagram last night. I followed it all.— Stan Collymore (@StanCollymore) February 17, 2016
Wheels have completely fallen off. Truly depressing
Villa are currently eight points adrift of safety, with their next match coming against Stoke City in two weekends’ time.
