Report: Bournemouth leading race to sign goalkeeper wonderkid Bartlomiej Dragowski, dad confirms talks

Goalkeeping Gloves

The 18-year-old is considered one of the best young goalkeepers in the world.

AFC Bournemouth may not be safe from relegation in the Premier League just yet but it seems the club are already looking at how they can improve the team for next season.

One area to consider would have to be between the sticks. Artur Boruc had a patchy start to the season and is getting no younger. Meanwhile Adam Federici does not look like an able deputy at Premier League level.

Now the club are said to be in talks with one of the best young goalkeepers in Europe.

Przeglad Sportowy in Poland are reporting that Bournemouth have made an approach for Jagiellona Bialystok goalie Bartlomiej Dragowski.

They carry quotes from his father Dariusz, who says that Boruc has personally recommended the teenager to Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe:

"There is a transfer offer for Bart from Bournemouth.

"From what I know a very good opinion of him was issued by Artur Boruc."

Sportowe Fakty is claiming that Bournemouth have made a €5 million (£3.9 million) offer for the player.

The wonderkid is just 18-years-old but has already made over 50 professional appearances in the Jagiellona first-team. The Poland under-21 international has been linked with some of European football's best clubs and is considered one of the best goalkeeping talents in the world.

If Bournemouth were to complete this deal it would be a massive coup for the club and a real show of intent for the club's future.
