Two Newcastle United favourites were reunited this week.
Newcastle United are in a tough spot right now - but two former legends could find reason to smile when they caught up in midweek.
Former goalkeeper Shay Given met up with his old boss Kevin Keegan, who he worked under at St James' Park during the manager's second spell at the club.
Given is 39 and is still contracted to Premier League club Stoke City, although has not featured much this season due to the excellent form of Jack Butland in goal.
He played for Newcastle between 1997 and 2009, racking up more than 460 appearances for the club, before leaving for Manchester City.
Keegan recently turned 65, and has been out of management since a brief spell in charge at Newcastle in 2008, but it was his first spell between 1992 and 1997 for which he is best and most fondly remembered.
Newcastle are currently sitting in 18th position in the Premier League, a far cry from the title challenging days under Keegan.
