New Celtic signing Kristoffer Ajer has told the club's official website that the Bhoys were always his first choice having enjoyed a trial period with the club.
Ajer, 17, has been dubbed as one of Norwegian's hottest young prospects, having recently starred with Tippeligaen side IK Start.
Many of Europe's top clubs have been looking to sign Ajer, but the midfielder has made a big decision over his future today, as he has agreed to join Celtic at the end of the season.
The Bhoys confirmed on their official website earlier today that the teenager has signed a four-year deal which will kick in during the summer, meaning he will join up with his compatriot Ronny Deila in Glasgow.
It's quite the coup for Celtic to land one of Europe's most highly-rated youngsters, and it call comes after the youngsters underwent a trial period at Celtic Park.
Ajer joined up with Celtic for training in January, and he clearly impressed enough to win a permanent deal under Deila.
Now, Ajer has told the Celtic official website that his trial with the club was 'amazing' - and they were his first choice ever since then.
"For the whole time, Celtic has been my number one club and I wanted to come here," said Ajer. "The trial was amazing. I met the staff, the players and everyone took good care of me. I felt at home here and the people around the club and everyone in Glasgow were so kind, so I had no problems being welcomed here, it was really good."
"Coming here to play for one of the greatest clubs in the world is amazing and I can’t imagine how wonderful it will be to play," he added.
