The Reds manager suggests which position he may be looking to strengthen at the end of the season.
The German boss sealed a deal for Schalke defender Joel Matip to move to Anfield at the end of the season, and having already gone some way to bulking up his defence, he is already thinking about where to strengthen next.
With the only three natural wide midfielders in the Reds squad all youngsters in the form of Jordan Ibe, Sheyi Ojo and Ryan Kent, the former Borussia Dortmund manager has earmarked that area as a key one to improve.
He told the Echo: "I don't have a number [of signings] in mind. We have to make solutions and we will make solutions. We have enough strikers – five with Roberto [Firmino] – but not too many wingers, just a few young ones with great potential.
"We have to decide early and at the right moment on transfers, but it is about a squad where you can play different systems and react to different situations.
"It always changes. So you prepare as much as possible and look for the highest quality you can get."
In his first transfer window in England last month Klopp made only two signings, one of which was another defender in the form of the loan signing of Queens Park Rangers centre-back Steven Caulker.
He did sign a midfielder in January, young Serbian midfielder Marko Grujic, but the teenager is seen very much as a player for the future and was immediately loaned back to Red Star Belgrade.
Liverpool are currently eighth in the Premier League table.
