Hull City drew 0-0 with Brighton and Hove Albion at the AMEX Stadium last night.
Isaac Hayden has admitted that he put in a wasteful display for Hull City against Brighton and Hove Albion last night.
Hayden started in the Tigers’ midfield, as the two promotion chasing sides played out a 0-0 draw.
Hull struggled to find a way past the Brighton defence, in a match which was starved of chances throughout.
The two sides largely cancelled each other out, and when Hull did manage to create an opportunity they were unable to find a way to put the ball beyond Brighton stopper David Stockdale, who was in fine form.
Hayden says that his own performance fell short of expectations, but he was happy enough to take a point from one of their promotion rivals.
Frustrating game tonight against a resolute side! Wasteful final balls from me personally, but we learn and move on, another point! #hcafc— Isaac Hayden (@IsaacHayden65) February 17, 2016
Tom Huddlestone also reacted on Twitter after the match, admitting that he was frustrated with the way the match went.
We found it tough to break down a resolute Brighton team. We need to be a bit braver in possession maybe. Still were we want to be though— Tom Huddlestone (@Huddz8) February 16, 2016
The draw means that Hull have reestablished their two point lead at the top of the Championship table, while Brighton occupy third spot.
