Harry Redknapp comments on Aston Villa's survival chances

Aston Villa were beaten 6-0 by Liverpool in their most recent outing.

Harry Redknapp has described Aston Villa’s performance against Liverpool as ‘horrendous’ on TalkSPORT.

Villa were beaten 6-0 by Liverpool last Sunday, and the showed a shocking lack of character throughout the contest.

The defeat has left Villa eight points adrift of safety, and Redknapp says that there is no chance that Remi Garde’s side will manage to escape the drop.

“Villa are gone,” the former Tottenham Hotspur boss said. “Villa on Sunday, I thought that was a horrendous performance.”

Villa have won just three of their 26 Premier League matches to date, and their campaign has been nothing short of disastrous.

The Claret and Blues have looked well off the pace, with frustrations rising around Villa Park.

Garde is also already said to be considering his future (Daily Mail), after Villa did not back him in the January transfer window.

Villa’s next fixture comes against Stoke City in two weekends’ time, and they will have to improve considerably if they are to stand any chance of claiming any points at the Britannia Stadium.
