Everton youngster Luke Garbutt apologises to Fulham supporters on Twitter

Fulham were beaten 3-0 by Blackburn Rovers yesterday evening.

Fulham loanee Luke Garbutt has apologised to the club’s supporters on Twitter after putting in a poor performance against Blackburn Rovers last night.

Garbutt is on loan at Fulham from Everton, but he was unable to show Premier League class at Ewood Park yesterday.

The 22-year-old gave away a penalty in the first-half, and he never got the grips with the game.

Slavisa Jokanovic ended up taking the full-back off at half-time, but by that time the damage was done.

Blackburn were 1-0 up at the break, and they went on to complete their triumph with Shane Duffy and Danny Graham scoring in the second-half to round off the victory.

Garbutt was not the only Fulham player to perform below expectations in the contest, but he did offer an apology for his showing on social media.

Garbutt’s chance to bounce back from his poor showing could come at the weekend, when Fulham face Charlton Athletic in Championship action.
