Middlesbrough are heading to Marbella for some warm weather training.
Carlos de Pena has posted a picture with a number of Middlesbrough’s first-team squad, as they prepare to travel to Marbella for warm weather training.
Middlesbrough are set to head to Spain to take advantage of the break in their schedule.
Aitor Karanka’s side are not in action again until next Tuesday, when they take on Cardiff City in Championship action.
And De Pena appears to be looking forward to having the opportunity to train in a slightly warmer climate than he is familiar with on Teeside.
Karanka will be looking to utilise the time on the training ground to help refine his Middlesbrough side’s play.
Boro are currently in the automatic promotion places in the Championship table but they have failed to win any of their last five matches.
The North East club also brought in five new players during the January transfer window and the new signings should all have a good chance to settle in during the overseas trip.
