Arsenal fan seriously injures himself celebrating Danny Welbeck's goal

Certainly one way to celebrate a goal...

We reckon most football fans probably get a little bit over-excited whenever their side scores, from running around their front room to kissing the closest bald bloke on the head.

While most definitely love a good celebration, some fans might just end up taking things a little bit too far, and in the case of one Arsenal fan, so far that he managed to injure himself!

Yep, Gunners fan Scott Stephen Woods was watching his side take on Premier League leaders Leicester City, and with the game poised at 1-1, the returning Danny Welbeck popped up to score with the last touch of the match, sending Arsenal fans into pandemonium.

And Scott decided to celebrate as well, so much so in fact that he gave himself a hernia! How on earth did he do it? Well, speaking to the Metro, Scott explained: "I was jumping around with my dad and hugging my dad. Felt under the weather on Monday and then had to go to hospital in the middle of the night last night.

"After this I think I’m going to be taking it a bit easier for a while." However, if Arsenal go on to win their first Premier League title in over a decade, Scott reckons he might just have to celebrate as wild as he did for Welbeck's goal.

"But in reality it’ll be something similar I’d imagine. Not sure the hernia was worth the 15 minutes of fame. If Arsenal win the league it will be!"

With Arsenal just two points off the top of the table, Gunners fans are starting to believe that they can beat off their rivals to pick up some silverware!
