Nikica Jelavic’s transfer from West Ham to Beijing Renhe has been confirmed.
The Croatian international has long been linked with a move to China, and with their transfer window open until the end of this month, a transfer has finally been completed.
He leaves West Ham after just five-and-a-half months at the Boleyn Ground, having arrived at the club on deadline day of the summer transfer window.
Jelavic has had a long stay in England, also turning out for Everton and Hull City, but it was clear that he was past his best following his move to the Boleyn Ground, and the Hammers were right to cash in on him when China came calling.
Following the confirmation of his exit from the Premier League, West Ham fans took to Twitter to react on Jelavic’s transfer, with few showing much sadness at the striker leaving East London.

Jelavic leaves West Ham to play in Chinese 2nd Division.....hard to make an argument that players aren't purely motivated by £€$ after that!— Ian Bowden (@bodz156) February 16, 2016
