Tony Fernandes has said that Queens Park Rangers missed Alejandro Faurlin during their match against Fulham last weekend.
QPR were hammered 3-1 by the Cottagers in front of their own supporters, and they rarely threatened throughout the contest.
Fernandes feels that part of the reason for this was due to Faurlin’s absence, as he feels the Argentine has been ‘fantastic’ this season.
@will_pound I share the same views. We missed ale. He has been fantastic— Tony Fernandes (@tonyfernandes) February 14, 2016
Faurlin is regarded as one of the best passers in the Championship and QPR missed his steadying influence in the centre of the pitch.
They never got to grips with Fulham throughout the contest as their London rivals ran riot.
Fulham scored their goals through Ross McCormack, Moussa Dembele and Tom Cairney, and in the end the scoreline could have been even harsher on the R’s had Slavisa Jokanovic’s side been more ruthless.
QPR’s defeat to Fulham has sent them down to 14th place in the Championship table, and they have now won just two of the first 12 matches that Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink has taken charge of.
