Stan Collymore has suggested on Boylesports.com that he feels for Aston Villa manager Remi Garde.
The former Villa striker has claimed that Garde was lied to by the Premier League club’s chiefs.
“A manager who looks as though he’s been sold a lie when he signed his contract and a team, if I can use that term, that are an embarrassment to their profession, club and league in which they currently reside,” Collymore wrote on Boylesports.com.
Garde was appointed the Villa manager in November following the dismissal of Tim Sherwood.
The Frenchman arrived in the Premier League with a good reputation, but he has not been able to do much at Villa Park so far.
The Villans, who failed to make a single signing in the January transfer window, are at the foot of the Premier League table at the moment with just 16 points from 26 matches.
Garde is a good manager, but he cannot work wonders with the current group of players that he has got.
