The striker says Laurent Koscielny is his toughest opponent this season.
The striker has enjoyed a fine first season in the Premier League, his formidable partnership with Troy Deeney having seen him find the back of the net 14 times so far.
One team he failed to score against though was the Gunners, as Arsene Wenger’s side ran out 3-0 winners at Vicarage Road back in October.
And when asked who his toughest opponent has been this season, Ighalo named centre back Koscielny as that man.
“I think I’ve faced a lot of tough defenders this season,” he told Goal.
“But I would say that against Arsenal Koscielny didn’t give me enough space to do what I want to do and that game was really difficult. I’d have to say it’s Koscielny."
The French defender has certainly enjoyed a fine season at the heart of the Gunners' defence this season, with a series of impressive displays alongside German international Per Mertesacker.
Indeed, their defensive solidity has been key to Arsenal’s title hopes, with them enjoying the second best record in the league behind rivals Tottenham Hotspur.
That has been down to the impressive work of Koscielny, and he will be hoping to continue that form for the remaining games this season as the title race looks set to go down to the wire.
