The Belgian striker has long been in the sights of a number of English teams, with his form in front of goal for Gent over the last season and a half earning him rave reviews.
The 27-year-old forward scored 12 goals in 29 league games last season, as Gent won their first Belgian title, and he has managed 10 in 25 games this term - and has scored in the Champions League.
Depoitre has a contract until the summer of 2017, as the report indicates, and he longs for a move to England. Gent could be forced to sell him this summer, as they know they run the risk of losing him the year after for free, rather than making a nice fee off the striker.
There is no shortage of interest in him, with the report naming a host of Premier League teams who are set to scout him this week, with Gent taking on Wolfsburg in the Champions League on Wednesday evening.
West Ham, Aston Villa, Newcastle, Sunderland, Leicester, Southampton, Crystal Palace, Everton and West Brom are all named as set to have scouts present at the game. Manchester City, Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham, Leicester are also indicated in the report as being aware of the striker’s talents, with a brief to watch him in the coming weeks.
There are no confirmations that any team is set to make a move for Depoitre as of yet, but it would come as no surprise to see the towering striker move to the Premier League in the summer.
