According to a report from the Liverpool Echo, Everton have snapped up Manchester City's teenage goalkeeper Joe Hilton.
The Toffees have been snapping up a host of young players since Roberto Martinez's appointment in 2013, with Everton certainly looking to build for the future.
The likes of Mason Holgate, Matty Foulds and Brendan Galloway have all arrived from Barnsley, Bury and MK Dons respectively, and it seems that another youngster is on his way to Merseyside.
A report from the Liverpool Echo suggests that Everton have secured a deal for Manchester City's teenage goalkeeper Joe Hilton.
Hilton, 16, has allegedly penned a two-year scholarship with Everton, and will be hoping to make a major impact in the Toffees' academy.
A 6ft 5in goalkeeper has already played for Manchester City's Under-16 side, and whilst he may not be the replacement for Tim Howard that Everton fans are looking for, Hilton appears to be a goalkeeper tipped to have a bright future ahead of him.
It's also stated that Everton actually managed to fend off interest from other Premier League clubs to sign Hilton, meaning the Toffees may have real faith in his ability to become a star of the future.
Are you happy with Hilton signing for Everton?
