Arsenal legend had to reluctantly wear a Tottenham shirt.

John Jensen was renowned for his lack of goals for Arsenal during his stellar career with the Gunners - and he has lately netted an own goal.

The Arsenal cult hero was forced to wear a shirt of rivals Tottenham Hotspur for Danish television channel 6'eren, a possible preview of the date which may befall former teammate Paul Merson.

Asked last month on the Sky Sports Fantasy Football Club Podcast if he would wear a Spurs shirt if they finish above the Gunners, Merson responded:

"Yes, 100 per cent. Not a problem at all."

At that moment, Arsenal were five points above Tottenham Hotspur, now that advantage has been erased, and Spurs even sit above them on goal difference for a second consecutive week.

The two sides meet in early March at White Hart Lane in what will be one of the most eagerly anticipated North London derbies for years. Paul Merson may be feeling particularly nervous.

Jensen is pictured below during a spell as manager of FC Randers in 2009. He later took a job as assistant to Steve Kean at Blackburn Rovers, but is now working as a pundit.
