Lee Cattermole has told the Daily Mirror that Sunderland’s January signings have all been brilliant since moving to the Stadium of Light.
Lamine Kone, Wahbi Khazri, Dame N’Doye and Jan Kirchhoff all moved to Wearside last month, and they have made a brilliant impression for Sam Allardyce’s side.
Cattermole has certainly been impressed by the new quartet, and suggests that all four look delighted to be at Sunderland.
“We have let a few go but importantly the boys who have come in have come in with a fantastic attitude,” Cattermole said.
“They have come in and have looked like they really want to be here, which is not always the case. It’s not always the way it is for whatever reason. But they have been fantastic.”
Sunderland’s January recruits have wasted no time breaking into Allardyce’s starting line-up.
The quartet all started in the Black Cats’ most recent match against Manchester United, and helped their new side pick up an eye-catching 2-1 victory.
Although Kirchhoff was forced off early through injury, N’Doye was a constant menace, while Kone and Khazri both got on the scoresheet.
The win over United has lifted Sunderland to within a point of safety, with their next match coming against West Ham United in two weekends’ time.
