Tottenham Hotspur are currently just two points away from Leicester City at the top of the Premier League table.

Jamie Carragher has told the Daily Mail that Mauricio Pochettino will complete the greatest managerial achievement of the Premier League era if he wins the title with Tottenham Hotspur.

Pochettino took over at Spurs at the start of the 2014/15 campaign, and at that stage there were fears over which direction the North London club was heading.

However, after making wholesale changes, Pochettino has moulded a wonderful squad at White Hart Lane, which is packed with young talent.

The Lilywhites have collected some of the brightest talents in English football, and their attractive style of play has caught the eye.

Tottenham have lost the joint fewest matches of any Premier League side this season, and they have also kept a better defensive record than any other top flight side.

And Carragher feels that Pochettino will deserve masses of credit if Spurs do manage to claim the title in May.

"It would be the best managerial performance in Premier League history if Tottenham go on and win the league," the former Liverpool defender said.

Tottenham are currently in second place in the Premier League table, and they are just two points behind Leicester City, who lead the way.
