How can you beat stress?

Stress is a natural part of living and we all experience it at some point or another, whether this is brought on by the mental or emotional pressures, particularly at work, relationships, finances, or family life.

Workplace stress affects one in five of the working population. It is the single biggest cause of sickness in the UK and is directly responsible for 25% of absenteeism and over 105 million days are lost due to stress each year.

Although stress can be difficult to recognise, it can affect the way you feel, think, behave and how your body functions. That's why Bank Workers Charity (BWC) have partnered with StressCHECK Ltd to bring you a free Beating Stress Interactive tool to assess your levels of stress. With over 70 pages of content, it includes assessments to help you determine how stressed you are within yourself and the workplace, with a variety of ways to help you overcome and prevent stress.

Fred Payne, Chief Executive of BWC says: “With so many members of the banking community juggling a busy job with pressures outside of work, the stresses of modern life are piling up. Beating Stress Interactive is a great tool that will help the banking community understand and get to grips with stress.”
