Liverpool smashed Villa for six at the weekend.
It was probably the lowest point of Aston Villa's fairly desperate season so far. The club thrashed at home by Liverpool 6-0, with the Reds at half-pace.
It was a shocking result from Villa befitting their truly dreadful performance and for many a Villa fan that will be that for the 2015-16 season.
“We need to have a good clear-out to sort it out because we are going nowhere at the moment as a club and this is a fantastic football club.
“Maybe this is a pivotal point where we have to look at each other and people at the club and say: where are we going to take this club from here?
“It is not looking very good at the moment and some supporters turned on the board."
So could this be the point in time that Villa look back on in a few years time as the low-point. To rebuild sometimes a club needs to hit rock-bottom and Villa are certainly there or thereabouts.
In the summer the club needs to clear out a long list of players, including some of those who only arrived last summer.
Then it is time to turn to the club's youth system and domestic talent to rebuild Aston Villa for the Football League.
Morley may be despairing but he should also be hoping that this is the beginning of a new era at Villa Park.
