The West Ham co-chairman has confirmed the Croatian's departure.
Chinese football is currently on the up with plenty of big names heading to the Chinese top flight.
In fact, even their second division sides are bringing in Premier League talent.
He sent out this tweet earlier today to confirm that the Croatian international had joined the club:
Nikica Jelavic has completed his move to Chinese second division team Beijing Renhe. Good luck. Nikica. dg— David Gold (@davidgold) February 16, 2016
Jelavic only joined up with his former national team boss Slaven Bilic at Upton Park from Hull City in the summer. However, he has struggled for regular first-team football and has jumped at the chance to earn some big money in China.
The move was reported by the Daily Mail yesterday to be worth £4 million and the striker was snapped arriving in the Chinese capital to complete his interesting move.
He will play alongside Bosnian internationals Zvjezdan Misimovic and Sejad Salihovic in Beijing and will hope to find the back of the net regularly in his new home.
