West Ham's Reece Burke helped Bradford to a win against Southend.

West Ham loanee Reece Burke is making a strong impression at Bradford City, and was particularly impressive in their win over Southend United last night.

The 19-year-old is on loan at the Bantams for the season and started last night's League One fixture in central defence, with fellow Hammers loanee Josh Cullen featuring in midfield.

Burke was making his 20th league appearance of the season for Bradford, and sent a message on Twitter after the game expressing his delight at helping the club to a clean sheet, with the Bantams recording a 1-0 win.

The victory puts Bradford into eighth place, gaining ground on Southend who are one place above them, and leapfrogging Sheffield United who lost to Bury.

Bradford have a game in hand on the teams around them, which if they win, can draw them level on points with Millwall, who are in the last play-off spot.

The West Ham duo of Burke and Cullen would surely love to lead Bradford to the play-offs at Millwall's expense, who last night lost 2-0 at home to Scunthorpe.

Burke featured in the Europa League qualifiers earlier in the season, playing against both Lusitanos and Astra Giurgiu, and it appears the England youth international is making bright progress.

Here is a look at how Bradford fans reacted to his performance...
