Plenty of Tottenham Hotspur's players had their say after a huge win for the club.
Tottenham Hotspur’s players were quick to celebrate their outstanding 2-1 victory against Manchester City on social media this weekend.
Spurs overcame Manuel Pellegrini’s men courtesy of goals from Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen, with Kelechi Iheanacho’s goal for the Blues proving to be a mere consolation.
Tottenham have been impressing all season, however their latest victory proves categorically that they are title contenders likely to be fighting right up until May.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side are now just two points behind leaders Leicester City with 12 games remaining and the North London club will now be favourites for the title in many people’s eyes.
After the game, goal-scorers Kane and Eriksen both had their say on Twitter, with the Dane celebrating his birthday with arguably the most important goal of his Tottenham career to date.
Plenty of others also got involved including Eric Dier and Mousa Dembele - who were both outstanding on the day - right-back Kyle Walker and central defender Kevin Wimmer, who has excelled in the absence of Jan Vertonghen.
Tottenham’s on-loan youngster Dominic Ball also had his say, with the current Rangers player writing simply, “What a result. COYS.”
Yeeeees! Couldn't wish for a better birthday present! Massive win today! Thanks for all the… https://t.co/gFb0DRqGJ7— Christian Eriksen (@ChrisEriksen8) February 14, 2016
