Tottenham Hotspur overcame Manchester City this weekend with their full-back one of the stars of the show.
Tottenham Hotspur proved they are up for a title fight when they overcame Manchester City 2-1 at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Harry Kane put the visitors ahead after a contentious penalty award but City substitute Kelechi Iheanacho equalised with time running out.
However, Danish international Christian Eriksen proved to be the hero with a late winner that ensured Tottenham took full advantage of Leicester City’s slip-up earlier in the day.
The Premier League leaders lost 2-1 to Arsenal and Tottenham’s victory means they are now just two points off top spot with 12 matches remaining.
The 25-year-old started the season as second-choice behind Welsh international Ben Davies, but he is now proving how good he can be on a consistent basis.
