Sky Sports pundit explains what West Ham proved against Norwich

West Ham United failed to win against Norwich City in the Premier League on Saturday.

Nigel Winterburn has told Sky Sports that West Ham United’s performance against Norwich City at the weekend proved that they are a dangerous team.

West Ham played out a 2-2 draw with Norwich at Carrow Road in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

After a goalless first half, Robbie Brady put the home team in the lead in the 54th minute, and Wes Hoolahan drove in a close-range effort on 65 minutes to make it 2-0.

Dimitri Payet slotted in for the Hammers after Victor Moses had a shot parried into his path on 74 minutes. The French attacking midfielder pulled the ball back for Mark Noble to make it 2-2 just two minutes later.

Former West Ham defender Winterburn was impressed with the way Slaven Bilic’s side staged a comeback against the Canaries and graded their performance as ‘B’.

The Hammers showed great character and proved they are a dangerous team,” the former England international told Sky Sports. “When you consider the game they had in midweek they deserve a B too.”

West Ham are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment with 40 points from 26 matches, seven points behind fourth-placed Manchester City.
