Rangers striker Kenny Miller is quoted as saying by The Glasgow Evening Times that his teammate Martyn Waghorn could score a hat-trick against Kilmarnock on Tuesday evening.
The Gers will take on Kilmarnock away from home at Rugby Park in the Scottish Cup fifth-round replay.
Waghorn is likely to start the tie, and Miller has suggested that the 26-year-old forward could score a hat-trick.
"There's no doubt that a player of the quality of Martyn Waghorn will come through his spell and it would be no surprise to anybody if he were to go out and even score a hat-trick on Tuesday,” The Glasgow Evening Times quotes Miller as saying.
Waghorn has been one of the best players for Rangers so far this season and is arguably the best forward in the Scottish Championship this campaign.
The former England Under-21 international has scored 27 goals for the Gers so far this term, but he has not found the net in his last five matches.
The former Sunderland and Leicester City forward is going through a bad spell, and it is great that Miller has so much faith in him.
Rangers are at the top of the Scottish Championship table at the moment with 60 points from 24 matches, eight points clear of second-placed Hibernian, who have a game in hand.
