Paul Ince said on the Matchday Live with Fletch & Sav show on BT Sport 1 on Saturday morning (February 13) that Dimitri Payet will eventually leave West Ham United.
Former West Ham midfielder Ince believes that the France international attacking midfielder will not remain at the club for the entire duration of his contract.
“To be fair, I know they talk about a new contract now because obviously there is this big move from China, that he could go out there, but he is playing that well at the moment.”
Payet joined the Hammers from French club Marseille in the summer of 2015 and has been truly superb so far this campaign.
The 28-year-old has scored seven goals and created 67 chances in 19 Premier League appearances for the London outfit.
The attacking midfielder has a pass accuracy of 82% and a shot accuracy of 72%, and has won two headers, 47 dribbles and 12 tackles.
West Ham are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment with 40 points from 26 matches, seven points behind fourth-placed Manchester City.
For the Hammers to rise up the league table, Payet will have to maintain his current good form for the rest of the season.
