Leeds United star Liam Cooper comments on Twitter after draw

Leeds defender Liam Cooper was pleased with his side's draw.

Leeds United defender Liam Cooper commented on Twitter after the club's draw against Middlesbrough.

The Whites played an entertaining 0-0 draw with Aitor Karanka's side, with both clubs coming close to scoring.

Leeds were fortunately able to prevent Middlesbrough's big money January signing Jordan Rhodes from scoring, and Cooper felt it was a point gained rather than two points lost.

The draw means Leeds remain in 16th position in the Championship table, but the performance was a big improvement on the disappointing home loss against Nottingham Forest a week earlier.

In the league, Steve Evans' side have now only won one of their last nine games, with their FA Cup victories in the third and fourth rounds distracting from this.

They face Premier League side Watford this Saturday with a place in the quarter-finals up for grabs for the winner.

Supporters responded to Cooper's message to praise his display, solid at the back alongside Giuseppe Bellusci with Sol Bamba left on the substitute's bench.
