Former Newcastle United striker Alan Shearer remains vocal about his old club, keen to see them do well, and not afraid to be blunt about their failings when they do not.
This weekend it was a disappointing one, as the team were thrashed 5-1 by Chelsea, made worse by rivals Sunderland beating Manchester United 2-1 earlier in the day.
Shearer himself was the subject of a message from a Sunderland fan, reminding him of the Black Cats excellent recent record against the Toon, winning all six of their last meetings.
The Match of the Day pundit was quick to tell the supporter to pipe down, pointing out that he had barely any followers, indicating nobody was interested in what he had to say.
Shearer had tweeted last week...

Shearer was clearly unimpressed, but unfortunately he could not really gloat about league position, with both sides inhabiting the depths of the relegation zone.
The two teams meet on March 20 at St James' Park, and it is a game neither side can afford to lose.
