Leeds United have a big game on Monday night and their boss has to get it right in terms of team selection.
Leeds United’s next Championship match is against second-placed Middlesbrough on Monday evening and Whites manager Steve Evans has some decisions to make as he attempts to get his side back to winning ways.
Leeds lost 1-0 to Nottingham Forest last time out after an uninspiring display and they have had to bide their time before the chance to put that behind them due to fixture changes.
While Evans has stuck with many of the same players since he arrived at Elland Road, here we take a look at two Leeds players who deserve a chance against Boro.
Midfielder Alex Mowatt has been in and out of the side recently due to injury but he now appears to be back to full fitness and the time is right for Evans to recall the 21-year-old to Leeds’ starting line-up.
Leeds need more goals and with Chris Wood absent and Mirco Antenucci and Souleymane Doukara inconsistent, Mowatt could be the difference against Boro.
Scott Wootton is obviously a firm favourite of Evans but he is not the answer at right-back and what better way to show faith in youngster Lewie Coyle than to throw him in from the start against the league leaders?
It would not be a risk as Coyle is ready for the step up; he just needs the chance to prove it.
