Abel Hernandez has scored 18 times for Hull City this season.
The Uruguayan striker currently leads the Tigers’ goal-scoring charts this season, and he scored in their most recent 2-0 win over Blackburn Rovers.
Bruce still thinks that there is more to come from his main striker this season, though, especially as the weather warms up.
"I think he'll get better when the weather gets better and it gets a bit warmer. He seems to enjoy the sunshine," Bruce said. "He had a tough time last year in terms of the Premier League but he looks a very good player and let's hope he takes us where we want to be.
"He's a goalscorer and is doing very well at the moment."
Hernandez actually struggled in his first season in English football during the 2014/15 campaign, but he has rewarded Bruce’s faith this time around.
The 25-year-old has scored 18 times in 31 appearances, and he is now one of the most feared marksmen in the whole of the Football League.
Hernandez’s good form has helped Hull climb to the top of the Championship table and establish their place as one of the favourites for promotion.
The Tigers’ next match comes against Brighton & Hove Albion on Tuesday evening, where they will be looking to extend their run of good form which has seen them win six of their last seven matches.
