It's safe to say Aston Villa defender Joleon Lescott made a meal of his 'apology' on Twitter on Sunday afternoon.
Aston Villa lost 6-0 to Liverpool and Lescott duly posted a picture of a flash sports car to his followers. He then didn't delete the picture but apologised and suggested it was accidentally posted from his back pocket. Right...
Indeed, while QPR didn't quite hit Villa lows on Saturday, they were thrashed 3-1 by Fulham and left supporters very frustrated with a lifeless display.
But Polter, for his part, took to social media to say sorry the following day...
Sorry i didn't play very well in the game against fulham yesterday, but we will train hard and do better next weekend. Best regards Seb— Sebastian Polter (@polti1991) February 14, 2016
Several QPR fans then responded - and the German striker has been commended for his heart and professionalism.
That's all it takes, by the way, Aston Villa players...
