Tottenham Hotspur beat Manchester City 2-1 this afternoon.
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino told the club's official Twitter account that he was happy with the win over Manchester City today, and thanked the travelling fans.
Spurs had watched Leicester lose 2-1 to Arsenal earlier in the day, meaning that beating City would take them to within two points of top spot - and that's just what they did.
Harry Kane put Spurs in front after Raheem Sterling had been controversially adjudged to have handled inside the area, but Nigerian wonderkid Kelechi Iheanacho equalised with a superb finish for City.
Manuel Pellegrini's men looked to be in charge, but Tottenham claimed all three points after Christian Eriksen swept home Erik Lamela's superb pass, sending the Spurs fans into delirium.
Now looking like one of the favourites for the title, this has been a stunning season for Spurs, and there may yet be silverware for outstanding manager Mauricio Pochettino to celebrate come May.
After the game, the Argentine spoke to the club's official Twitter account about beating City, admitting that it's a pleasure to work with this Spurs squad, stating that his players were fantastic at the Etihad Stadium in a huge victory.
Pochettino also thanked the fans for their support, and was touched by the celebrations between players and fans at the final whistle.
