Harry Redknapp has told the Telegraph that he feels Mauricio Pochettino may leave Tottenham Hotspur for Real Madrid in the future.
And Redknapp agrees that a move to the Bernabeu would be the only switch that would persuade Pochettino to leave the Lilywhites.
“I’d have thought Pochettino will look for one of the top jobs in Spain if he does ever leave Tottenham,” Redknapp said. “Real Madrid might be the one at some stage, but he’s doing great at Spurs and he won’t be thinking about leaving at the moment. All he’ll be thinking about is getting a ‘well done’ from Daniel [Levy] for winning the League.”
Pochettino’s stock has risen during his time at White Hart Lane, as he has made great progress with Tottenham’s team.
The Argentine boss has been ruthless at shipping out players he did not feel were good enough, and he has placed his trust in youth with wonderful results.
Tottenham now have one of the most vibrant squads in England, and their form this season has been nothing short of sensational.
The Lilywhites have lost just three league games throughout the campaign to date, and they are currently in second place in the Premier League table with 13 matches remaining.
