Fraser Forster, Charlie Austin and more: Southampton players react on Twitter to win against Swansea

Southampton beat Swansea City 1-0 at the Liberty Stadium yesterday.

A host of Southampton players have celebrated on Twitter after they beat Swansea City 1-0 this weekend.

The Saints have had a rather indifferent campaign so far, but a stunning run of form recently has launched them up the table.

Southampton are now in sixth place and pushing for a European spot after a run of six games without defeat.

Ronald Koeman’s side have also not conceded a goal in this time, and their defensive solidarity was highlighted against Swansea.

Southampton limited the Welsh club’s chances throughout, and they took their opportunity when it came.

Shane Long, who was preferred to Charlie Austin in the starting line-up, scored a close-range header to ensure that Southampton had reason to celebrate.

And their first-team squad were quick to post messages on social media after the match. The likes of Long, Oriol Romeu, James Ward-Prowse, Fraser Forster and Austin all posted on Twitter and here is the best reaction.
