Dean Ashton comments on West Ham's performance against Norwich

West Ham United drew 2-2 with Norwich City at Carrow Road yesterday.

Dean Ashton believes that West Ham United are a ‘different animal’ this season, after they came back from 2-0 down to claim a point at Norwich City.

Ashton, who used to play up front for the Hammers, believes that his old side have made great progress under manager Slaven Bilic - with Dimitri Payet and Mark Noble both getting mentions by him on social media site Twitter.

Payet and Noble scored West Ham’s goals in their comeback at Carrow Road and Ashton was clearly pleased with the result.

West Ham could have folded at 2-0 down, but there is real belief in Bilic’s squad this term.

The Hammers left it until the last minute to grab the winner against Liverpool in the FA Cup in midweek, and they further highlighted their resilience in East Anglia.

The Hammers could have had more than a point to celebrate, too, but January signing Emmanuel Emenike missed a very presentable opportunity late on to seal the three points.

The draw has left West Ham in seventh place in the Premier League table, but they are in the thick of the battle for a Europa League spot.
