Daniel Sturridge reacts on Twitter to Liverpool win, raves about Coutinho

Daniel Sturridge

The Liverpool striker was delighted after beating Aston Villa 6-0 on Sunday afternoon.

Aston Villa were simply woeful on Sunday afternoon and their fans were treated to Joleon Lescott posting a picture of a fancy car on Twitter as a result.

But, for Liverpool, there were better fortunes. And Daniel Sturridge was one of the club's heroes of the hour at Villa Park.

Indeed, as Liverpool beat Villa 6-0, fans rejoiced that there may be a striker in Sturridge yet.

Yes, the Reds forward has been heavily criticised in recent months because of his lack of fitness. The exact reason for that is because of performances like this one against Villa.

At his best, Sturridge is absolutely world class - no questions asked. That's why it's so frustrating for Liverpool fans to see him on the sidelines so often.

Here, though, Sturridge was on show at his best. So was Philippe Coutinho, who he praised, and the likes of Roberto Firmino and more. Even James Milner and Kolo Toure got themselves on the scoresheet.

Meanwhile, Simon Mignolet, Mamadou Sakho and Jordan Henderson also tweeted after Liverpool's comprehensive win over Aston Villa.
