Birmingham City manager Gary Rowett has received a great amount of praise for the wonderful job he has done since taking charge at St. Andrews, but the pressure is starting to build on him after the club’s recent dip in form.
Birmingham were only able to pick up a 0-0 draw with Rotherham United on Saturday and the result damaged their promotion ambitions.
The Blues are starting to fall away from the play-off chasing pack and they currently sit three points behind the top six.
Although that gap is far from insurmountable, Birmingham’s form will have to improve quickly if they are to catch Derby County, who currently occupy the last play-off spot.
The Blues have failed to win any of their last three matches, with many of their January signings failing to make much of an impact thus far.
Birmingham brought in a number of players last month, but some fans suggest that the new arrivals have disrupted the team, while others have taken issue with Rowett’s team selection at the New York Stadium.
Here is the best reaction from Birmingham fans on Twitter after yesterday's draw with Rotherham.
Rowett can get Clark's signings to play well. His own record in the transfer market? Patchy, to say the least. #bcfc— Fat lip (@NatJPeters) February 13, 2016
Seems Rowett doesn't rate Caddis. Seems every chance he has he drops him. #bcfc— David Kelly (@David_DK_Kelly) February 13, 2016
With all the millions Rowett has spent play offs is a minimum imo...any less and he has to go...— wardy (@TheOldburyAnus) February 14, 2016
@MyNoseisBlue Rowett flapped it tactically today— Chris Royston (@MrBrightside_32) February 13, 2016
Rowett's future would have to be in doubt if we don't make the playoffs after spending millions on Brock, Keiftenbeld & Fabbrini— spilt chips™ (@spilt_chips) February 13, 2016
Why did we buy Fabbrini? 1.5 million bench warmer! Why not start him? #what's happening blues.— Andy Whitehouse (@andyblueboy21) February 13, 2016
Why is he GR not considering toral and fabrini to start ? I don't get it ..only we could sign someone for 1.5 million and not play him— Matt Smith (@MattyladKRO) February 13, 2016
