Southampton won against Swansea City in the Premier League on Saturday.

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side’s win against Swansea City on Saturday afternoon.

The Saints got the better of Swansea 1-0 away from home in the Premier League. Shane Long’s goal in the 69th minute proved to be the difference between the two sides at the Liberty Stadium.

Koeman has expressed his delight at the win for Southampton, while Francis Benali is pleased with Long.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Liberty Stadium, hosts Swansea had 55% of the possession, took 13 shots of which just two were on target, and earned five corners.

Visitors Southampton had 45% of the possession, took 13 shots of which five were on target, and earned four corners.

The Saints are now sixth in the Premier League table with 40 points from 26 matches, seven points behind fourth-placed Manchester City, who have a game in hand.

Koeman’s side will return to action on February 27 when they take on Chelsea at Stamford Bridge in the Premier League.
