Sunderland got the better of United 2-1 at the Stadium of Light in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.
Sunderland scored their second goal of the game on 82 minutes when Lamine Kone's header from Khazri's corner went in via a deflection off David de Gea.
Former Sunderland manager Reid was following the match, and he was pleased with the final result.
