Peter Reid and Liverpool owner’s wife react on Twitter to Sunderland win

Sunderland won against Manchester United in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Peter Reid has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Sunderland’s win against Manchester United at home.

Sunderland got the better of United 2-1 at the Stadium of Light in the Premier League on Saturday afternoon.

Wahbi Khazri put the Black Cats in the lead as early as the third minute, only for Anthony Martial to restore parity for the Red Devils on 39 minutes.

Sunderland scored their second goal of the game on 82 minutes when Lamine Kone's header from Khazri's corner went in via a deflection off David de Gea.

Former Sunderland manager Reid was following the match, and he was pleased with the final result.

Linda Pizzuti Henry, wife of Liverpool owner John W Henry, was also impressed with the Black Cats’ victory.

Over the course of the 90 minutes at the Stadium of Light, hosts Sunderland had 34% of the possession, took 21 shots of which just five were on target, and earned six corners.

Visitors United had 66% of the possession, took 12 shots of which six were on target, and earned eight corners.
