Middlesbrough midfielder outlines what he expects at Elland Road

Middlesbrough will take on Leeds United at Elland Road in the Championship on Monday evening.

Middlesbrough midfielder Grant Leadbitter has told GazetteLive that he and his teammates know what to expect from the game against Leeds United next week.

Boro will take on Leeds away from home at Elland Road in the Championship on Monday evening.

Leadbitter has said that the players know that it is going to be a tough match, but he has made it clear that they want to win.

“Leeds will be a tough game - they all are in this division,” the 30-year-old told GazetteLive. “We know what to expect there.

“It will be a big game with a big crowd and a good atmosphere and the cameras will be there. We are all really looking forward to it. We will be going there looking to win.”

Middlesbrough are second in the Championship table at the moment with 57 points from 29 matches. Aitor Karanka’s side are two points behind leaders Hull City, but they have a game in hand.

Boro will be favourites to win against Leeds, who are in the bottom half of the table and appear to be out of the running for a top-six finish.

However, the West Yorkshire outfit will be hard to beat, especially as they will have home advantage.

Moreover, the Leeds players will be determined to give their best against arguably the best team in the Championship.
