The Forest loanee watched on as Huddersfield beat his parent club.
Paterson was ineligible to play against parent club Forest but watched on as Huddersfield earned a confident victory at the City Ground.
The winger was, however, happy to be back at Forest to see some 'good friends.'
Great performance from the @htafcdotcom lads! Deserved 3 points that's bin coming. Good to be back at city ground see some good friends— Jamie Paterson (@jamiepaterson12) February 13, 2016
Huddersfield hadn't won in four going into the Forest clash, while Dougie Freedman's men were on a lengthy unbeaten run.
That has now come to an end, however, but there is still plenty of play-off hope at the City Ground. Forest are nine points off sixth place and there is lots of time left this season.
Huddersfield, meanwhile, look safe and can try and pick up as many points as possible before the end of their campaign.
