The Forest captain is refusing to rule the team out of promotion.
Nottingham Forest are currently looking like everybody's favourite outside bet to earn promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs at the moment.
The club were looming dangerously close to the relegation zone a few months ago but they are unbeaten in the league this year and are now sneaking up the table.
It has seen some suggest that the club might in fact find their way into the play-off places.
One person who is not writing off this potential opportunity is current team captain Henri Lansbury.
The central midfielder told The News Hub this week that he would not rule out his side making it into the Premier League for next season:
“We will take it game by game and just getting as many points on the board as possible.
"Anything can happen in this league, if we continue the unbeaten run hopefully it get us into the top-six places. Anything can happen in the play-offs as seen in the last few years.”
Lansbury has recently been out of action with an ankle injury, which he is on course to return from in due time.
However the arrival of Gary Gardner and the return to action of Robert Tesche has helped Forest to overcome the absence of the key player.
Hopefully Lansbury will return soon however as Forest look to continue their good form and potentially make a shock bid for the play-offs.
